Its August!

Camp has started for the Cavaliers. Now, the intrigue swirls around how everyone looks at camp, how the depth cart is going to stack up....are there any surprises ahead. To me, the only surprises will be the doubters of the Cavaliers.

The talent in Charlottesville is truly undervalued! Its time for a breakout in 2009.

  1. To be the butt of all criticism, the UVa wideouts are "silently" loaded and poised for a breakout with Gregg Brandon's spread offense.
Green, Burd, Inman, Jobe, Smalls, Brown....and who knows Hunter and/or Smith.

Time will tell and that time is short!

  2. Heather Dinich once again lets her questionable purportedly superior ACC analysis run wild again in her most recent article predicting the top 12 teams of the ACC. Well, its worth a laugh and hopefully she will be pinned up in the mens urinals in c-ville. Oh well! Got my dig in....now, back to the positivity. Even November, Heather will need a friend.

  3. Another day down! We are getting there! I am going to remain calm until the first weekend! Last year I was so hyped mid-July and hit a caffinee-like crash after game one. However, this year is something different! Yes, this year will be something different!

  4. Sleeper pick to make some noise this year...perhaps, true frosh Perry Jones. After all, he was VA State player of the year. Its a shame rivals only 2 starred him because of his height. Get ready!

  5. The only thing we can control in life is our attitude - and this type of optimism is what has made our country so great. I'm an SEC guy, and have never followed Virginia, but just to be part of this FAN-tastic journey I say GO CAVALIERS! But if they lose, I'll probably make fun of this (but just a little) God Bless America!!! SEC Guy

  7. The time is ticking very close to the two week mark. The keys to buying time, stay busy at work and let the days pass, because when the time gets here...everyone will know. That time will be yours!

  10. Well, the AP Poll is out. At the start of the season, Virginia has a schedule with 4 teams in the top 25 with other opponents receiving votes. It is fundamentally crucial to have games early with challenging foes. Those victories will dictate the season, but so can a loss. All I say is, remain optimisitic and get ready...because the quest is near.

  13. The week is moving slowly towards Gameday. I guess that is a good thing....yeah right. I just want to stay grounded, remember each week is marathon, not a sprint.
